Introduction of High Temperature Molybdenum Wire

HTM is short for High Temperature Molybdenum Wire. it is a new kind of material which is made of rare earth element lanthanum in proportion to molybdenum powder. After high temperature heat treatment, HTM still has good toughness in room-temperature. Due to the dispersion strengthening of rare earth oxide, the tensile strength of high temperature molybdenum wire is greatly improved.

Applications of Molybdenum Wire

Molybdenum wire is mainly refers to the wire cutting in the condition of high voltage electric field made from molybdenum and other precious metals. It used in wire cutting machine tool. Models of the molybdenum wire made by China are Mo1, Moδ, Mo2, Mo3, Mo3δ, of which Mo1 and Mo 2 are pure molybdenum wire, and Mo3 is molybdenum alloy wire with Ca, Mg.

Molybdenum wire can be applied in cutting machine and automobile parts’ spraying.

Pure molybdenum wire is used as core wire, holder, outgoing line, heating element.

Lanthanum molybdenum wire can be used as glass sealing parts, furnace heating material, high temperature components of wire-electrode cutting, etc..

Yttrium molybdenum wire could be applied as holder, outgoing line, languet of electron tube, grid electrode, furnace heating material, high temperature components.

Features of  Molybdenum Wire

Molybdenum wires feature in high tensile strength, good discharge property, smooth surface, high cutting speed, long service life and low wire tightening frequency. Molybdenum wires are used to cut various kinds of non-ferrous metals, steel and magnetic materials.
